Abstract

This chapter deals with several details related to e-learning represented in the concept of learning management systems, types of learning management systems in terms of learning management system and course management system, learning and content. The authors will clarify the importance of e-learning management systems in the educational process and features of e-learning management systems. In addition, the authors will explain the steps chosen for e-learning management systems with inference on some examples of e-learning management systems. At the end of the chapter, they will talk about learning management systems in Arab universities in the education process.

Introduction

E-learning is a tool or educational system based on All kinds of computers so that we can be learned from anywhere and at any time. Now, e-learning is mostly being delivered online, although in the past it used a combination of computer-based methods such as CD-ROMs. But when the technology era evolved so much, it bridged the geographic gap using tools that made the learner feel as if he were in the classroom. E-learning offers the ability to share materials in all kinds of formats such as word documents, PDFs, and videos, slideshows. E-learning provides learners with the ability to fit learning about their lifestyles, enabling them to effectively to further a career and gain new qualifications. Since the launch of the Internet, there have been some developments in education. So sharing and running the online courses is very simple. At the moment, learners are well versed in using smartphones, and using the Internet. Social media and various other means of online communication allow learners to keep in touch and discuss course-related matters, whilst providing for a sense of educational community. There are a large number of different e-learning systems known as learning management systems, or learning management systems (LMSs), methods, which allow for courses to be delivered. With using the right tool, through it we can automate various processes such as identifying tests, academic duties or creating attractive content. We can say that e-learning requires a system of teaching and learning management that provides communication between all parties in the educational system and therefore the systems of learning management is one of the most important components of e-learning is an integrated system responsible for managing e-learning across via network. ” Internet “.
