Abstract

The chapter intends to reflect on the theoretical role of tourism in reducing inequalities in society (SDG 1 and 16), the supply chain innovations and innovative products in tourism (SDG 8), employment opportunities for marginalised social sectors in tourism (SDG 1 and 8) and the challenges faced by women in tourism (SDG 5). This research aims to analyse the theoretical impacts that the legalisation of prostitution would have on a tourism destination, on the individuals involved, and on contributing to the diversity of tourism products (supply chain innovations). The result of this NLR of the responsibility in tourism in the face of prostitution resulted in the analysis of the impact felt by residents with prostitution. The understanding of the distinction between formal employment and informal employment, thus framing the best position for prostitution. The ethical concerns associated with prostitution are exploitation, trafficking, and prejudgment. The regulation of the demand for sexual services marketed in different political contexts.
