Abstract

The processes and dimensions of the development of the health system are some of the most important parts of a healthy society. The positive vision formation for people toward a society's health system requires trust, honesty, specialization, and two-way interactions between people and the healthcare system. Hospitals as a physical environment symbolize society's health system. As much as this physical environment reflects a more efficient and developing image of society in appearance, process, logistics, and infrastructure, the physical and mental peace of people will be improved. For this purpose, health systems and hospitals must adapt to current industrial and technological conditions. The smart hospital is one of the concepts that is developed in this field. In this chapter, due to the importance of hospital smartization, Industry 6.0 has been integrated with the smart hospital, and Hospital 6.0 has been propounded.

1. Introduction

Throughout history, the concept of eternal life has captivated the minds of monarchs and the wealthy. Conversely, most individuals focused on mere survival. Consequently, both affluent and impoverished individuals shared anxieties about their existence. Since life is a gift, the preservation of this valuable gift has been the main issue of the human brain from the past until now. So, by facing this challenge, societies began to solve it by founding medical facilities. Communities established hospitals to prioritize the well-being and longevity of individuals. For the implementation of this goal, the industry had to play its part.

Industry 6.0 and Hospital 6.0 can be related to each other and can have many suitable results for society. There is some different research on Industry 6.0 explaining the technologies for better healthcare globally (Jeyaraman et al., 2022). Through the sixth generation of industry and hospitals, people can find a more comfortable healthcare system. According to the progress of technology and its tools, generations can transform the whole industry. In this research, industry and hospitals perform shoulder-by-shoulder and attempt to build a whole new generation in the new world as shown in Figure 1.

The concept of quality transformation in hospitals can be defined as the systematic endeavor of enhancing the quality of healthcare services. It encompasses the implementation of various strategies and initiatives aimed at augmenting patient safety, clinical outcomes, patient experience, and the overall delivery of healthcare. Additionally, Industry 5.0 effects and the technologies of Industry 4.0 transform the layer of quality in hospitals (Poornachandrika & Venkatasudhakar, 2020). Also, automation technologies can be an example of industry 5.0 effects (Movahed et al., 2024). In this way, quality transformation in life and industrial transformation can collaborate to evolve the healthcare system.

On the other hand, there is industrial transformation. Industrial transformation in healthcare facilities involves the utilization of industrial principles and methodologies to enhance the productivity and quality of healthcare services. This entails the incorporation of cutting-edge technologies and implementing data-driven strategies to elevate patient care, optimize operations, and ultimately achieve better outcomes (Nozari et al., 2021). The evolution of the healthcare system means that people can empty their minds of some obstacles like financial problems or level of service quality. The government can play a crucial role here. it needs to increase financial investments in the medical centers (Yang & Han, 2023).

Also, the whole process of accessing the healthcare system will be quick by applying new kinds of technologies. AI and Data analytics are some of the smart technologies that can facilitate the decision-making process in hospitals. AI, machine learning, and data analytics can address various concerns (Singha et al., 2023), especially in some dangerous cancers. Imagine a situation where the top management of an equipped hospital receives a poor circumstances report from the emergency room. For sure, the condition of the manager’s mind will be tranquil for making decisions by having a strong tool of technologies.

In the sixth generation of hospitals, some of the processes will be done just in time. This issue helps employees and patients to manage their time better and better. However, in most countries, even the developed ones, the members of society are not satisfied with the healthcare system services, especially in imaging techniques. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be a good sample for this topic. MRI studies have high specificity in hospitals generally (Silva et al., 2023). Also, analyzing medical images is very determining in hospitals, especially in emergency cases. In addition, some applications are set up to play the role of a hospital in the house of patients. Huma is a proper example of this topic (Nozari., 2024). This new and popular application could attract and keep large numbers of customers. It can make a community with people who suffer from the same disease and connect them and increase the morality of patients.
