Abstract

India is a nation with a long history of agriculture and has spearheaded the global green revolution, increasing food supply and crop yields. The 21st century demands a change to environmental sustainability. In addition to lowering air pollution and protecting the health of farmers and rural communities, they provide silent operation, cost effectiveness, precision agriculture, and zero tailpipe emissions. India can create a more robust and environmentally friendly agricultural landscape by implementing electric tractors, so guaranteeing the sustainability of the planet and its harvests. In this chapter, the authors analyse a charging infrastructure for the agricultural tractors by using HOMER Pro software using the solar and biomass as the primary resources. This project analysis shows the payback of the investment in just 4.15 year with a ROI of 9.1% and IRR of 14.6%.
