Abstract

In recent years, there has been a significant rise in the global adoption of renewable energy sources. Many steps are being taken to reduce the carbon footprint of major rising economies in order to achieve environmental sustainability. A significant goal in this direction is the zero emissions target. In Panagarh, a progressive view of opportunities and innovations is created by the intersection of education, technology, and renewable energy. The present study examines Panagarh's educational electrification by using technology and offer renewable energy power generation. In the proposed location, Panagarh, the electricity requirement is 3 MW. The proposed system combination of solar, wind, and grid produce 7,108 kWh; where the PV generates 454 kWh, the wind turbine generates 4,539 kWh, the grid purchased is 1,001 kWh, and the grid sales are 2,999 kWh. Here, CO2 emissions of the system are 32.0 kg/year. The economic metrics are ROI 12%, IRR 15%, and a simple payback of 11.77 years. This research provides an overview of green power generation with lesser emissions and offers affordable green power in Panagarh, West Bengal, India.
