Abstract

The agriculture industry has experienced new developments due to the world's population increasing and the lack of food. For this reason, farmland management is done by artificial intelligence and the internet of things with the aim of agriculture industry smartization. Quantity and quality product improvement, energy consumption optimization, reducing emissions, and reducing the number of workers in the production process are the results of advanced industrialization in agriculture. In this regard, the production of healthy and sustainable food seems vital, because nutritional health is one of the lofty goals of the modern industrial revolution. Supply chain cycle improvement of the agriculture industry to increase sustainability and environmental security is one of the concepts that will be important in Industry 6.0.

2. Literature Review

The emergence of Agriculture Industry 6.0 signifies an important shift with the help of cutting-edge technologies. The scholarly literature sheds light on the progression of this sector, highlighting the incorporation of the IoT, AI, robotics, and precision agriculture.

The literature extensively examines the significance of technology in promoting a sustainable agricultural supply chain. Research studies emphasize the influence of the Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled sensors in effectively monitoring the health of crops, efficiently utilizing resources, and minimizing wastage. IoT agriculture can enhance food and farm technology (Jaiganesh et al., 2017).

Furthermore, the potential of AI-driven analytics is investigated in terms of predicting market demands, optimizing logistics, and reducing environmental impact. AI can realize the problems in the farms, and it is performed by deep learning (Xu et al., 2022). Thus, these technological interventions play a vital role in facilitating the shift towards a more environmentally friendly supply chain.
