Abstract

The authors analyze the training of students pursuing a bachelor's degree in the areas related to translation practice, aimed at building competence in educational and multicultural environments. Special attention is placed on the formation of multicultural competence, which is a crucial factor in training translators, regardless of the country and language studied. The opportunities for using digital educational content in preparing for intercultural dialogue with representatives of various countries and faiths are presented. The analysis substantiates the correlation between the use of digital educational resources in learning a foreign language and the development of multicultural competence, resulting in intercultural interaction. The presented results show that multicultural competence is a personality trait that includes vital competencies necessary for correct translation. The chapter reveals the regularity showing that the use of digital educational resources in training future translators improves this process and contributes to the formation of multicultural competence.

3. Results

A characteristic feature of the modern world is the widespread use of digital resources in intercultural interaction. One should note that intercultural interaction is one of the most important aspects of translation activities. Definitely, for a linguist as a future translator, it is critically important to analyze new digital content using digital educational resources in terms of using various lexical, stylistic, phraseological units in a modern speech to master a higher level of fluency.

The digital resources for networking cooperation can be online educational platforms, instant messengers, webinars, etc., which give the student access to various digital content and use multimedia technologies for moving beyond the studied material.

Educational online platforms, digital language databases provide an opportunity for students who are searching for a bachelor’s degree and major in “Linguistics” not only to gather, analyze and visualize the information but also, having the ability to quickly process a large volume of digital content, organize the received data and find a solution to various scientific research problems.
