Abstract

This research presents the design and analysis of a novel MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) antenna tailored for 5G applications operating at 28 GHz. The antenna features a compact form factor of 16x16mm and is fabricated on RT Duroid 5880 substrate, renowned for its excellent dielectric properties. Incorporating a U-shaped slot for enhanced performance, the antenna achieves exceptional impedance matching and robust signal transmission capabilities. Through meticulous engineering and optimization, the antenna demonstrates precise impedance matching, ensuring minimal signal loss and maximum power transfer at the desired frequency. The proposed MIMO antenna configuration, comprising five elements, is meticulously designed to facilitate seamless communication and synchronization across the antenna array. Simulation results exhibit a simulated reflection coefficient (S11) of -16 dB at 28 GHz, underscoring the antenna's outstanding performance and suitability for high-frequency applications.
