Abstract

Deepfake is an artificial image or video generated specially by “deep learning technology” and hence the name deepfake technology. This book chapter serves as an introductory guide to deepfake technologies, providing a comprehensive overview of their concepts, methods, and applications. The chapter addresses the ethical considerations, societal implications, and emerging challenges associated with deepfake technologies.
