Abstract

With increase in the technology there is increase in the crimes against girls and women. No matter how much Bharat is growing in terms of economy, there is vast growth in sexual assault. So, there is a necessity to analyse this aspect also. The crime against girls and women reported from 2017 to 2021 for various states of Bharat country has been retrieved from the government port and used for the analyses of this research chapter. The data is represented keeping view in every criterion which includes rape, kidnapping, abduction, death due to dowry, insult, and many more. Graphical representation of the data becomes easy to under real time situation of the country. Using this chapter, the authors want to attract the Government of Bharat to understand the situation in the country and take appropriate action in this field.

Literature Survey

Muhammad Shoaib Farooq et. al. (2023) said that women and girl’s safety is one of the most important concerns in the society. They deals with different issues related with safety like rape, molestation, sexual harassment and domestic violence due to diverse cultural and social reasons. The paper is a review which examines and synthesizes the research article which are published from 2016 to 2022 in various scientific journals and conferences.

Heather Allen et. al. (2016) said that personal security of the major issues for each of the person. However, there is an increase in responsiveness of the particular concern of ladies because they use public transport. Research shows that ladies use public transport frequently as compared to men as they are less aware about driving vehicles. This report identifies cities where precautions have been taken to make provision for the women’s safety and security. It focuses on three major aspects which includes access to public transport, the environment where they wait and in the transport. Violence against women was adopted in United Nation in 1992 which states that: “Violence against women is a manifestation of historically unequal power relations between men and women” and that “violence against women is one of the crucial social mechanisms by which women are forced into a subordinate position compared with men”. 25 Nov. is declared as “International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women” at United Nations.

By Afsaneh Raziet et. al. (2021) elaborated in the research paper that half of the teenagers which is almost forty five percentage are constantly involved in online activity and nearly seventy one percentage teenagers have their social media account. According to the crime against girls is one in eleven teenagers in United States have experienced sexual harassment violence. Research has shown that solutions for adolescent online safety rely more on parental control through direct monitoring and control through device-based restrictions. Most of the datasets used in adolescent’s risk detection way is public datasets. It misrepresents the adolescent, for instance most of the research focuses on online risk detection used the Perverted Justice dataset which is based on conversations from convicted sex offenders and volunteers acting like children.
