An Overview of the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Hospital Management in India: Impact, Challenges, and Future Potential

Substantial amount of research has been carried out all over the world pertaining to the use of AI in organization management, but none of them present a compiled and comprehensive study on the use of AI in the hospital management exclusively in India. Of the researches in the field, mention can be made of the research carried out by Dr Agarwal regarding the varied use of Artificial Intelligence (Agarwal, 2019). The current research paper follows a structured literature review procedure which was motivated from the study of J.E.Andrews (Andrews, 2003). Worthwhile research in predicting the future of AI can be found in the works of G.S. Collins (Collins, 2019). The use of AI in rural areas was vividly highlighted in the works of Dr. Guo (Guo, 2018). The research carried on by Hamid in determining the opportunities of AI in healthcare management is very meticulous (Hamid, 2017). The efficiency of AI in healthcare management is shown to a great extent in the works of Dr.Kallis (Kallis, 2018). The other mention can be made of the phenomenal work by khan in determining the scope of AI in the Indian scenario (Khan, 2019). Prof Mehta has shown with great details how Big data Management can foster more efficient healthcare management (N Mehta, 2019). The work of Dr K.C. Santosh proves the use of AI in tackling the Covid 19 pandemic (Santosh, 2020). The studies conducted by Nirupama Bajpai gives a scenario of the existing literature regarding use of AI for Hospital Management available in India (Nirupam Bajpai, 2020). The importance of the use of text mining mechanism to extract undisclosed information is profoundly visible in the research work of Dr.Hao (Hao T, 2018). The works of dos Santos focuses on the use of data mining to identify health problems (dos Santos BS, 2019). The steady growth of medical big data researches around the world is found in the studies conducted by A. Choudhury (A Choudhury, 2020). Statistics regarding the gradual increase in robotic surgeries could be found in the research paper of Dr. Connelly (Connelly TM, 2020). The publications on the use of AI in health care are found in the works of Y. Guo (Guo Y, 2020). Phenomenal works in the field of using Artificial Intelligence in public safety is found in the research of O Asan (Asan O, 2020). A vivid picture of the challenges faced in application of AI in healthcare can be found in the works of Verda Nizam (Nizam Verda, 2021). The evolution of research of AI in healthcare management is found in the study of BX Tran (Tran BX, 2019). A significant research on the use of AI in treating orthopedic problems is found the studies conducted by Prof. Tagliaferri (Tagliaferri SD, 2020).
