1.0 Background And Context

The emergence of Industry 5.0, which is characterised by the incorporation of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robots, the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data (Chander, B., Pal, S., De, D., & Buyya, R. 2022), has resulted in substantial shifts throughout the workforce in every region of the world. The need for workers with advanced levels of expertise has grown in parallel with the increasing acceleration of industry change (Acemoglu, D. 2002). AI-driven skill development initiatives have emerged as a potentially useful approach to close the gap that exists between the education that students get and the needs of Industry 5.0 (Miao, F., Holmes, W., Huang, R., & Zhang, H. 2021). These programmes make use of the potential of AI to give students with individualised and dynamic learning experiences that equip them with the skills they will need to be successful in the workforce of the future (Samavedham, L., & Ragupathi, K. 2012).

Various industries, including education, have undergone a transformation thanks to artificial intelligence (AI), which provides creative ways to improve learning and skill development. There is an increasing need to connect students with industry requirements as Industry 5.0, which is focused on the seamless integration of humans and robots, emerges. (Broo, D. G., Kaynak, O., & Sait, S. M. 2022). By supplying students with the skills and abilities required by the changing labour market, AI-driven skill development is essential in tackling this challenge.

1.1 The Role of AI-Driven Skill Development

Artificial intelligence-driven skill development makes use of artificial intelligence tools and technology to improve learning and prepare students for Industry 5.0. To create personalized and adaptable learning experiences, it utilises AI algorithms, machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics. The purpose is to prepare students for the difficulties and possibilities that Industry 5.0 will provide. AI-powered skill development programmes provide students with personalized learning pathways, adaptive tests, and real-time feedback, allowing them to study at their own speed (Tapalova, O., & Zhiyenbayeva, N. 2022). Furthermore, AI allows for the analysis of massive volumes of data in order to detect skill gaps and give tailored interventions for improvement. This tailored approach improves the efficacy and efficiency of skill development programmes (Kamalov, F., Santandreu Calonge, D., & Gurrib, I. 2023).
