Abstract

Transformational learning theory is a perspective that focuses on understanding the learning process from individuals' experiences. According to this theory, learning interacts not only with external influences, but also with the individual's inner thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In social work education, transformational learning theory is used as an important tool to support individuals' personal and professional development. Using this theory, social workers can help their clients discover their strengths and realize their potential. At the same time, this theory encourages social work students to recognize their own biases and approach social problems from a critical perspective. In this way, social work professionals can develop more effective strategies to ensure social justice and equality.
