Description & Coverage
Description:

Decision making that takes into account many criteria is known as multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) or multiple criteria decision analysis (MCDA) and may be applied to a wide range of situations and fields of study. Many disciplines rely on multi-criteria decision making (MCDM), making it one of the most widely used decision-making methods. By analysing the criteria, MCDM can tell you whether or not a certain criterion is the best option. Additionally, it compares this criterion to all other options based on the specified criteria in an effort to help the decision maker choose the one that has the fewest drawbacks and the most benefits. These analyses may use qualitative or quantitative standards of evaluation. This book seeks to give a broad overview of the areas where MCDM can be used to great advantage in smart education, either through successful engineering or ground-breaking research. AHP, VIKOR, DEMATEL and other methods are among the tactics we highlight. In the process of writing this essay, we interviewed experts from a wide range of sectors to ensure that our advice was as pertinent as possible.

This book identifies numerous issues that call for conceptual innovation, have the potential to progress MCDM, and have significant impacts. As an illustration, we point out how smart education systems offer an intriguing field for interpretable MCDM. We encourage scientists, engineers, and other professionals to apply their knowledge to important societal issues. This book discusses a variety of issues where the implementation of existing MCDM techniques could make a significant difference without more study. For instance, we emphasise methods for supplying power companies with precise solar projections, resources for assisting with personal energy usage reduction, and forecasts for the financial effects of climate change. This book urges investors and businesspeople to occupy the existing vacant market area.
