Editor/Author Biographies

Muhammad Kashif Shad is currently serving as a Lecturer of Finance in the Management and Humanities Department at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Malaysia. With a strong academic background, Kashif completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from Hazara University Mansehra, Pakistan in 2012. Driven by his passion for knowledge and research, Kashif pursued further education and obtained his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree in 2016. He continued his academic journey and successfully earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management in 2021, both from UTP Malaysia. He secured a fully funded scholarship from UTP, Malaysia for his M.Phil. and Ph.D. studies

Kashif has an impressive track record of publishing over 25 papers in reputable and peer-reviewed journals. With his solid academic foundation, extensive research experience, and passion for continuous learning, he is making valuable contributions to the field of finance, particularly in the areas of enterprise risk management, corporate sustainability, and firm performance.

Fong-Woon Lai is Associate Professor at the Department of Management and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, USA. He obtained his PhD (in enterprise risk management) from the University of Malaya, the oldest university in Malaysia. At UTP, he was responsible for the designing and development of the MBA in Energy Management (MBA-EM) program for which he was appointed as the founding Program Manager from 2013 to 2016. Dr Lai has been teaching in higher education institutions since 1998. Before joining the academia, he worked in two stock broking companies in Malaysia. He held an Investment Advisor’s Representative License issued by the Malaysian Securities Commission (SC) in 1997. Dr Lai has co-authored management books, published in indexed journals and presented in local and international conferences. His research papers are in the areas of corporate finance, strategy, risk management, socio-economic analysis and higher education research. He has obtained research grants from the local government and the Ministry of Higher Education.

Salaheldin Hamad is a postdoctoral research associate at the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business, Lancaster University, UK. He is currently working on the SeaBOS research project. With a PhD in accounting from Universiti Teknologi Petronas in Malaysia, he brings a wealth of academic and practical experience to the team. Salah's career has been marked by over 10 years of teaching, training, and research experience, during which he excelled as a graduate assistant and accounting lecturer in Egypt and Malaysia. His research interests encompass integrated reporting, sustainability accounting, ESG strategy, the circular economy, SDGs performance, and corporate governance. Salah's dedication to advancing knowledge in these areas has resulted in multiple publications, including prestigious journals like "Sustainability Accounting, Management, and Policy Journal" and Sustainable Development. His contributions extend beyond academia; he has presented his work at international conferences and collaborated on various research projects. He works on different research projects with diverse scholars from the UK, Malaysia, and Egypt.

Bilal Mukhtar has completed his M.Phil. in Management from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He holds a bachelor's degree (BS in Banking and Finance) from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. His areas of interest are sustainability, green innovation, CSR, corporate governance, and risk management. His work has been published in reputable journals including Social Responsibility Journal and Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences, etc. In addition, he has presented research papers at international conferences as well.
