The BRICS countries and the countries of the global south are showing new and alternative political economic relations in parallel with the recent economic and social developments on a global scale. These unions and cooperation may change the global economic, financial and political architecture. In this framework, analysing and interpreting consequences of the new economic and political relations between these countries is important in terms of defining the global cooperation and regional partnerships. In this vein, analysing the economic and political collaborations, researching the benefits of international trade among the member countries and the Global South, interpreting common policies or diplomatic initiatives shaping their cooperation, as well as technological negotiations in different fields can be critical in understanding the performance of the BRICS, new members of BRICS, and the Global South countries. Finally, it is necessary to review how BRICS and Global South countries affect the economic and political balance at the global level and their role in international relations. The authors will analyse and evaluate these negations and economic/political cooperation among these countries. The authors will also put forth some comments about the future of the BRICS.
This book analyses the economic, political, and international relations between the BRICS countries and the countries of the Global South to understand the performance of the BRICS organization in the near future. This book will be used as text book for Master and PhD students who study political economy and international relations, as well as academicians working in these fields, bureaucrats in the relevant field, and private sector enterprises that would like to improve business relations. We will also analyse if these countries can be a center of gravity in the global economic and political order.
