Description & Coverage
Description:

It is known that knowledge and information have a significant impact on individuals’ daily lives and daily activities, especially when referring to the new economy and the global knowledge societies. What is more, the need to ensure inclusive global knowledge societies comes from the desire to support sustainable development and to empower communities to become more concerned with aspects related to well-being, health, preservation, quality of life, and commitment for people-centered and environmental-centered programs and policies. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 crisis have managed to severely affect the balance existing in the daily lives, threatening the entire society and creating massive disruptions in the creation of the vital inclusive global information society. These days, while reflecting on the global knowledge societies, while targeting sustainable development in the Post-COVID-19 Era, there are several questions that have succeeded in becoming more and more persistent: (1.) Is global knowledge the key to a bright and well-balanced future for all? (2.) Is the individuals’ commitment to building inclusive global knowledge societies the optimum solution for sustainable development in the Post-COVID-19 Era? (3.) Do information and communication technologies help create the basis of the knowledge society on truer and more realistic values capable to support healthier lifestyles? (4.) Does showing concern by building inclusive global knowledge societies for sustainable development in the Post-COVID-19 Era implicate strengthening regional and international cooperation and fostering alliances encouraging information dissemination and knowledge production?
