Dr. Farmer's journey in academia is marked by significant roles, including Vice President for Student Development and respected positions at Moraine Valley Community College and DePaul University. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, a Master of Education, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Dr. Farmer’s educational background is as impressive as her professional achievements. She is an influential voice in community college excellence, contributing to several national and state higher education associations and organizations at various levels. Her involvement extends to serving on the Advisory Boards for Community College Leadership Doctoral Programs and holding past leadership roles in Illinois Community College Chief Student Services Officers. Beyond her professional sphere, Dr. Farmer is a dedicated community member, actively participating in Chambers of Commerce and Rotary. Her 32-year Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. membership highlights her commitment to service and community engagement. Residing in Lemont, Illinois, with her husband, Danny B.
