Yönal Kirsal

Yonal Kirsal received a graduate degree from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Fagamusta, Cyprus, in 2006, and the MSc and PhD degrees from Middlesex University, London, U.K., in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He joined the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, the European University of Lefke, as an assistant professor, in 2014. He has been elected head of the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department, since October 2017. He was appointed as associate professor, in 2019. His main research is in the field of modelling heterogeneous wireless networks, performance evaluation, queueing theory, network design and evaluation, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
