Yasmin Jamadar

Yasmin Jamadar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Finance) at the BRAC Business School (BBS), BRAC University (BRACU). She is involved actively in teaching, supervision, research, development of new curricula and courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Before joining BRACU, she worked as a lecturer (Accounting & Finance) at Alfa University College, Malaysia. Dr. Yasmin obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance from the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) [AACSB & EQUIS accredited] and she graduated on time (GOT). She also served as an academic mentor at SBE, UPM. Moreover, as an invited member, she participated and contributed to the peer review process for EQUIS accreditation and AACSB re-accreditation of SBE, UPM. She achieved several merit and full bright scholarships throughout her academic career. Her research areas include corporate finance, corporate governance, accounting, sustainability, Insider trading, and earnings management. Her publications have appeared in various international refereed journals indexed in the Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS), Web of Science (WoS), Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) and Scopus. Additionally, Dr. Yasmin is also serving as a reviewer for some prominent journals including the Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research; Investment analyst; and Managerial and Decision Economics to name a few. She is a certified expert on STATA, Eviews, and SPSS software. She presented papers at several international conferences in UK, Malaysia, UAE, and Bahrain. Her corporate experience includes working as a business development executive in Nascenia IT, Bangladesh. She has also engaged in different social and professional development activities.
