William Michael Gafill

William Michael Gafill is a B.A. of English with a minor in Biology graduating from Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Fall 2023. Current research interests include environmental ethics, environmental sustainability, and the impact of language/communication techniques on environmental sustainability. While at NAU, Gafill has worked and presented on a number of projects ranging from desalination and the ethics behind zoos/aquariums to the relationships between theory, practice, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, Gafill presented at the 2023 National Conference of Undergraduate Research discussing the implications of the United States’ outdated methods of environmental conservation. Future goals for Gafill include working with sustainable agriculture, continuing environmental research, along with producing environmentally positive and conscious theory.
