Vishnu D. Rajput

Dr. Vishnu D Rajput is an esteemed scientist and educator specializing in Agricultural Biotechnology and Soil Science. He holds a Doctor of Science degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, and a Master of Science in Agricultural Biotechnology from Chander Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur, India. Currently, Dr. Rajput serves as the Head of the Soil Laboratory and a Leading Researcher (Associate Professor) at the Academy of Biology and Biotechnology, Southern Federal University, Rostov, Russia. With over 15 years of research experience, he has contributed significantly to the fields of soil microbiology, bioremediation, and agricultural sustainability. Dr. Rajput's career includes pivotal roles such as Senior Research Fellow at the Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, India, where he led projects focused on bioremediation of wastewater contaminated with heavy metals. His expertise extends to the application of microorganisms in agriculture, particularly in enhancing plant resilience and soil health. Recognized for his academic and research contributions, Dr. Rajput has received numerous accolades, including Certificates of Appreciation and Honor from the Southern Federal University for his outstanding research and publication activities. He has also been conferred the status of "Highly Qualified Specialist" by the Russian Government. His current research interests encompass the toxic effects of bulk and nano-forms of metals on plants and soil microorganisms, investigating bioaccumulation, transformations, and developing remediation strategies using nanomaterials and nano-biochar.
