Victoria Barbosa Olivo

Victoria Barbosa Olivo , Ph.D. (she/her), is a Program Coordinator for UTSA's McNair Scholars Program Summer Research Institute. She also teaches research design, theoretical approaches, and diversity and equity courses at the graduate level. She was a university fellow at The Ohio State University, where she received her Ph.D. in higher education and student affairs in 2022. Before starting her doctoral degree, Victoria taught in France for a year, leaving her hometown of San Antonio, TX. She received her M.S. in psychology, M.A. in history, and a B.A. in psychology and women's studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Her research explores the experiences of queer students in higher education.
