Varun Gupta

Varun Gupta , Ph.D., is an associate professor of logistics and analytics at the Mike Cottrell College of Business, the University of North Georgia where he currently directs the logistics lab and the logistics and supply chain curriculum. His research interests include supply chain risk management, inventory management, and revenue management. He continues to teach courses on logistics, operations management, and quantitative methods for business at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has over 10 years of experience working on academic-industry partnership projects in the broad areas of analytics, logistics, and supply chain management. Dr. Gupta continues to publish several top-tier journal articles, book chapters, and discipline-specific international conferences. He served on the board of a non-profit for the Millcreek education foundation. Dr. Gupta has a doctorate in Operations Management from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). He also earned a master’s in business administration and a master’s in business administration from UTD. He is a member of the Georgia Logistics Association (professional organization), INFORMS, and POMS (academic societies).
