Usha Kiran Kommuri

Usha Kommuri completed her Ph.D. degree in the field of Antennas from Gulbarga University, Karnataka in 2007. She has worked as Project Associate from 2007 to 2009 in Microwave Lab, ECE, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and Project Scientist from 2010 to 2012 at CARE, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. During this period, she worked on RF MEMS switches and phase shifters for RADAR and Broad band antenna design projects. Presently she is working as Associate Professor Senior in SENSE, VIT, Chennai Campus, TN from 2012 to till date. During her 10 year of academic work at VIT, she was involved in various research establishment activities like development of the antenna test facility anechoic chamber and microwave lab setup. Dr. Usha Kiran Kommuri has published more than 60 research papers Antennas and RF MEMS. She has completed 1 industry consultancy project on RF design for GPS trackers for Lora band application, 1 Fast Track DST, Govt of India Funded project in 2016 on MEMS phase shifter based electronically steerable antennas for RADAR application. She has a patent in 2021 on metamaterial inspired antennas for wireless communication conference.
