Tim Allen

Tim Allen has been a School Psychologist for 19 years, as well as a special education coordinator, internship coordinator, supervisor, consultant, School Psychology graduate program coordinator, and now Associate Professor at Abilene Christian University. At ACU he supports the Psychology department, primarily working with their School Psychology graduate program. He has a wide range of diversity, age, disability, population, and SES experience. He uses a practitioner-focused research lens to pursue school psychology professional issues, such as building the field, helping school psychologists and other special education professionals engage in current, high-quality, and efficient practice, creating and disseminating tools that are actually useful, special education evaluation, postsecondary education for students with disabilities, and closing the research-to-practice gap (and especially vice versa). He graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, the University of Memphis with a Masters Degree in School Psychology, and the University Northern Colorado with a Ph.D. in School Psychology.
