Swapna Gottipati

Swapna Gottipati is an Associate Professor of Information Systems (Education) and the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education at the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University. Her research interests include text mining, natural language processing, educational analytics, opinion mining, AI, and business process innovation. Her current research focuses on AI for education and healthcare projects. She has published around 80 papers in highly ranked conferences such as EMNLP, COLING, ICCE, EDUCON, and ASE. She is also a recipient/nominee of several best paper awards at conferences and the Innovative Teacher Awards at SMU. Prior to joining SMU, she worked as a consultant for banking, financial, health, and mobile projects, where she designed, developed, and supported various software systems.
