Sumathi BalakrishnanSumathi Balakrishnan holds a Master of Software Engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University Putra Malaysia. She has taught various courses at Taylor's University, including Capstone Project, Internet of Things, Industrial Project, and Computer Architecture and Organization. Additionally, the author has authored several articles and book chapters related to smart city technologies, IoT, and user-centered design. She has been involved in multiple research projects focusing on IoT, smart city technologies, EEG signal processing and elderly care. She has also received several awards and recognition for their innovations and research efforts. Furthermore, the author holds professional memberships in Lembaga Teknologis Malaysia (MBOT) from 2022 to 2023, was also a member of IEEE from 2018 to 2019, and held a role of committee member in the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society Malaysia from 2018 to 2019.
