Suman Rath

Suman Rath , PhD is an assistant professor of Special Education in the Department of Instruction, Curriculum and Leadership at the University of Memphis. His research examines a broad array of problems including inequity within educational systems, culturally responsive teaching and policy implementation. His academic interests are classical pragmatism, decolonial theory, institutional theory and democratic social reform shaped by qualitative and naturalistic methods. His teaching interests include ethics and law, policy, practice and special education leadership. He has presented in several national and local refereed conferences including the American Educational Research Association, TASH and Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).
