Suja A. Alex

Suja A. AlexSuja A. Alex is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering (Autonomous), Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu. She obtained her B.Tech. (Information Technology), M.E. (Computer Science and Engineering), and Ph.D. (Computer Engineering) at Anna University, Chennai, India in 2006, 2008, and 2022 respectively. From 2013 to 2017, she worked as a researcher at HPCCLoud Research Laboratory in India. Her research focuses on imbalanced data classification, regression, machine learning, deep learning, blockchain, materials data sciences and informatics, educational research, and higher education pedagogy. She published peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters in these areas. She has been involved in collaborative research funded by Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, UAE - Start-up research grant. She is a recipient of the Outstanding Reviewer Award for the year 2022 from the Future Generation Computer Systems (FGCS) Journal, Clarivate Analytics Author Award in 2020, 2021, and 2022, Excellent Publication Awards, and Best Publication Award in 2023 from St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering. She is a reviewer of around 40 SCI-indexed journals, conferences, and books. She is an academic editor of PLOS ONE journal. She also serves on the editorial board of books.
