Shavon D. Paul

Shavon D. Paul is a lifelong special educator. She has held many roles in special education, including an assistant teacher, an early childhood special education teacher, and an adjunct assistant professor at a City University of New York college. Shavon holds a dual master’s degree in early childhood education and early childhood special education. In continued pursuit of higher education, Shavon has received a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Special Education from Grand Canyon University (GCU). Shavon’s research focused on early childhood special education teachers’ interactions with a coach and becoming reflective practitioners. Shavon enjoys working in special education and has a strong interest in coaching. She also enjoys supporting both pre-service and in-service teachers. Over the past few years, Shavon has mentored and coached several of her former graduate students. She encourages these individuals to engage in deep reflection to guide their decision-making.
