Shaun Sydney Nykvist

Shaun Nykvist is an educator, researcher, author, speaker and workshop facilitator in the field of teacher education. He has over 25 years teaching experience and his research expertise is focussed on innovative pedagogical approaches to engage diverse learners, the transformation of teaching and learning in higher education, the challenges associated with digital technologies to support and enhance learning in all modes of learning, global citizenship education and wellbeing associated with the use of digital technologies. Shaun has held multiple leadership positions and provided strategic leadership around key teaching and learning initiatives for Ministries of Education, Universities and schools in Australia, Asia and Europe, whilst also developing strong national and international partnerships in education that provide a global perspective. He has designed and led multiple international capacity building programs to support educators in a wide range of educational topics. This has included programs based around pedagogy, digital technologies, leadership, assessment, curriculum renewal, blended and online learning, STEM education, vocational education, critical thinking and creativity. Shaun is also an award winning academic in the areas of teaching excellence, leadership and building strategic international partnerships.
