Shashikant Saurav

Shashikant Saurav is an Assistant Professor of Law, currently working at Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad. He takes lectures on the Law of Crimes, laws related to women, Property Laws, etc. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Law at the Indian Institute of Legal Studies. He graduated in law from Aligarh Muslim University in 2018 and completed his LLM from Central University of South Bihar in 2019. As a part of his master's program, he wrote his dissertation on “Efficacy of Rape laws in India - reckoning the Reforms under the criminal justice system”. He qualified for Assistant Professor, UGC-NET (Law) in December 2019. He specialises in criminal laws, and his research area includes transgender rights, women's rights, gender neutrality, consumer protection, etc. He has participated in and presented papers at various national and international conferences and has a few reputed publications.
