Sharon K. Andrews

Sharon K. AndrewsSharon Andrews is Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Houston, Texas, United States of America. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette Louisiana. She has served as committee member, reviewer, and editorial board member for numerous international refereed journals and international and national professional conferences. She was the founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Esports Research. She is Chair of the Software Engineering MS program as well as the founding creator and Chair of the Software Engineering Online MS program. Dr. Andrews’s areas of research include software architecture design, software knowledge reuse, problem conceptualization, as well as learning engagement and curriculum design, human trafficking prevention, and Esports in academia. Dr. Andrews’s scholarly works include numerous publications within international, national, and regional refereed journals, edited referred research books and conference proceedings. These works include publications on frameworks for the automatic generation of architecture description languages, problems of architectural erosion and drift, methods for domain and knowledge engineering, methods for reusable software architecture, processes for innovation in engineering as well as publication surrounding education, online education, and learner engagement. She has been the recipient of funding in the area of domain specification and knowledge-reuse for research and graduate student projects with Honeywell, Boeing, IBM, Lockheed and others. She has been a grant reviewer for the National Science Foundation.
