Shanon S. Taylor

Shanon S. Taylor is a Professor of Special Education and Disability Studies. She has been in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Nevada, Reno for over 20 years. Her focus area is behavior management and emotional/behavioral disorders. Prior to entering higher education, she taught adolescents with emotional/behavioral disorders in residential settings. Dr. Taylor earned her Ed.D. in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership at The University of Memphis. As the parent of two adult children with disabilities, she is passionate about improving family engagement for students with disabilities, particularly those with emotional/behavioral disorders and/or issues with substance abuse.
