Selim Şanlısoy

Selim Şanlısoy was born in 1973 in İzmir. He completed primary school at Karşıyaka Cumhuriyet Primary School and secondary school at Karşıyaka High School. After completing his high school education at Atatürk Industrial Vocational High School Electronics Department, he graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Izmir Vocational School of Control Systems Technology in 1992. In 1997, he completed his undergraduate education at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. In 1997, he started to work as a Research Assistant at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. In 2000, he completed his master's degree in economics at Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Social Sciences with a thesis on “The Effects of Export-Oriented Industrialisation Strategy on Income Distribution: The Case of Turkey” at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Social Sciences. In 2008, he completed his PhD in economics with his thesis titled “Analysis of Economy-Policy Interaction in terms of Process Policy: The Case of Turkey” at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Social Sciences. Prof. Dr. Selim Şanlısoy, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2017 and Prof. Dr. in 2023, is currently working as a faculty member at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. Prof. Dr. Selim Şanlısoy, who teaches Macroeconomics, Economic Policy, Economics of Innovation, Economics of Technology, History of Economics and History of Economic Thought at undergraduate and graduate level, has many academic studies in the fields of Economic Policy, Economic Theory and Economics of Innovation.
