Scott W. Smalley

Scott Smalley is currently an Associate Professor of Agricultural Education at Iowa State University. He received his Ph.D. and master’s degree from Iowa State University in Agricultural Education and bachelor’s degrees from Michigan State University focused on agricultural education. He currently teaches courses in instructional methods for adult and higher education in agriculture and natural resources to masters and doctoral students, and foundational courses in agricultural education to undergraduate students. He has presented several studies at American Association for Agricultural Education research conferences and has published studies related to agricultural education focusing on pre-service teachers, professional development, CASE, beginning and midcareer teachers. Prior to working at Iowa State University and South Dakota State University in agricultural education, Dr. Smalley was a secondary school agricultural education teacher in Iowa for six years.
