Saleria Shaffer

Saleria Sterling Shaffer was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1970. She grew up attending Southern University A&M College football games with her family. Education was top priority in the Sterling household. Shaffer earned a Bachelor's and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Southern University A&M College. She is currently pursuing an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Louisiana State University with plans to enter the Louisiana State University P-12 in Educational Administration Program in the spring of 2024. While entering her twentieth year in education, she is an educator in the Zachary Community Schools. Mrs. Shaffer serves as Gifted & Talented Lead Teacher for the Gifted & Talented Department and a Gifted Resource Teacher to K-12 learners. Outside school, Mrs. Shaffer serves as Grand Organist in the Ester Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star Prince Hall Affiliation Louisiana Jurisdiction, Worthy Matron for Pride of St. Francisville Chapter #12, and musician for Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and God’s Grace Ministries.
