Raquel Sánchez Ruiz

Raquel Sánchez Ruiz wrote her PhD Dissertation on Discourse Analysis, particularly regarding political speeches, but she has three main lines of research, all of which are particularly related to technologies and digital literacy: discourse analysis; acquisition/learning of the foreign Language (English); and bilingual Education and CLIL. She has also been teaching courses in both BA and MA studies in the Department of Modern Languages (area of English) since 2008. Along these years, she has participated in different projects, including interdisciplinary work with other areas, both as an expert in CLIL and acting in the capacity of counselling, guiding and working on teaching-learning processes in English, bilingual education and CLIL. She also has experience in leading both national and international projects; as well as in research projects, as she has participated in 10 of the latter. She has also participated in 22 eTwinning projects, in 17 as a founding member. She has been a visiting researcher at Malmö University, Sweden; Roehampton University, the UK; and Instituto Español Cañada Blanch, the UK. Currently, she is the Vice-Dean of Academic Planning and Teaching Staff. She is also part of 3 Research Groups (LabinTIC, UCLM; AODIS, UCLM and IMEI, URJC). She is also a member of the Academic Committee of the Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education and ICT for Early Childhood and Primary Education.
