Rahat Rehman

Rahat Rehman has obtained her Ph.D in Biological Sciences from School of Biological Sciences, University of the Punjab in 2013. She has been serving as Forensic Scientist and Supervisor of DNA and Serology section in Punjab forensic science agency, Lahore. Being at PFSA, she got extensive training in Forensic serology and Forensic DNA Typing. She herself has analyzed more than 5000 Forensic DNA and serology cases during her stay at PFSA. She got training of Forensic Advanced DNA training from University of Canberra, Australia. There she went through mixture interpretations and report writing. She has also received Quality management training from UKAS, London where she learned ISO 17025 standard requirements for “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”. She is well proficient in Forensic Serology testing and results interpretation, Forensic DNA profiling, Random Match Probability, Mixture interpretations, Parentage Index, Relationship (Kinship) testing, Forensic Report writing and interpretations.
