Rafael Córdoba Hernández

Rafael Córdoba Hernández is an architect specializing in planning and the environment and Doctor of Architecture from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). Member of Planners for Climate Action (P4CA) of the Climate Change Planning Unit of UN-HABITAT and associate professor of the Department of Urban and Territorial Planning of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, of the Master in Historic Gardens and Ecosystem Services of Green Infrastructure of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and of the Master in Land Policy and Sustainable Urban Development of the UNED-Lincoln Institute of Land Policy Chair of Cambridge (Massachusetts). He combines his professional activities with the drafting of general planning, development and management at different scales and the intervention as a legal expert in urban-environmental processes throughout the national territory. His line of research focuses on the analysis of urban vulnerability, territorial resilience, and the role of urban planning in the face of the new challenges arising from the environmental, social and economic crisis we are suffering.
