Qossay Hamed

Dr. Qossay Hamed, a Palestinian academic, holds a PhD in Political Sciences from the University of Bordeaux, France and a Master’s Degree in Political Planning and Development from An-Najah National University in Palestine. He is an Assistant Dean of the Faculty of New Media at Al-Quds Open University (QOU) and served for over 10 years in the International Relations Department at QOU. Mr. Hamed is a founding and board member of different NGOs in Palestine and has experience in the field of international cooperation and participates regularly in different international conferences. His studies focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, national liberation movements, Hamas and Fatah, Palestinian state building, the U.S Policies towards Palestine, peace process, diplomacy, and policy analysis. Mr. Hamed is the author of The United States of America and the Democratic Transformation Process in Palestine.
