Poonam Nirmalkumar Kurve

Poonam Nirmalkumar Kurve is a retired professor from the Department of Zoology. She is a recognized research guide for M.Sc. and Ph.D. Zoology and Environmental Science, University of Mumbai. She was the Ex-coordinator of the Department of Environmental Science, Dept of Biodiversity Wildlife Conservation & Management, VPM’s B. N. Bandodkar College of Science, Thane 400 601, India. She has teaching experience of around 30 years and research experience of 37 years. She has 37 research publications in National and International Journals to her credit and has completed seven research projects in her career. She is an Hon. recipient of the UGC Travel Grant for the oral presentation of a research paper titled “Coastal Tourism in Alibaug; district Raigad: a menace or a bonus?” at the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (26-30 September 2011) organized by the University of Aberdeen in collaboration with the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, UK .
