Päivikki Jääskelä

Päivikki Jääskelä (PhD in Education) was hired as the Senior Researcher by the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä (JYU) in 2017 and is currently the PI of the StudyAgent research project funded by the Academy of Finland (2023-2026). From 2009-2016, she worked at the Department of Teacher Education (JYU) as the University Teacher for Educational Sciences and the Postdoctoral Researcher in university-level projects on the development of higher education pedagogy and guidance. During 1995-2008, she worked as the University Teacher for Education and Adult Education and the Coordinator for university studies at the Open University Units of JYU. She received her PhD in 2005 and the title of Docent (Adjunct Professor) 2019 from the JYU. She is the main developer of the Agency of University Students (AUS) scale. She has published widely on issues of higher education pedagogy, including student agency, teacher development, and curriculum work.
