Pavani Ayinampudi

Pavani Ayinampudi is a life scientist with a Masters and PhD in Animal Biology from one of India's Institutions of Eminence, the University of Hyderabad. With more than seven years of research experience in the field of Animal biology, she joined TSWREIS as a Lecturer and taught Zoology at the undergraduate level. Later, she was assigned the role of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Higher Education and was designated in charge for academics across 30 Residential Degree colleges in Telangana under TSWREIS. During her 2-year tenure as OSD, she played a key role in introducing the B. Pharmacy course, BSc (Hons) in Design and Technology in partnership with NIFT-Hyderabad, BSc Bioinformatics and French as Second language in TSWR Degree Colleges. She also is the coordinator for the international collaborations of TSWREIS with John Hopkins University, Harvard University and other international organizations like Launch Gurls, United Way etc. Faculty lounges, Academic Coordinator System, Digital literacy weeks, centralized time table and higher education trainings were a few of her ideations at TSWREIS. She also is the Convener of the first International Conference of TSWREIS, BioMe ’23 that witnessed a delegation of ~800 participants from 3 continents. She is currently working on bringing new national and international partners on board to build the Social Welfare Residential Degree Colleges as Centres for Academic Excellence. Dr. Pavani’s vision is to create policies that provide ‘quality education for all’ which she plans to achieve by working closely with the government and regulatory bodies in education sector. Outside work, she is an avid star gazer and a movie buff.
