Paul Bates

Paul Bates has held the positions of Chair of the Qantas Group Flight Training Research board and a consultant to Qantas Group Flight Training. He has been a member of the Industry Board of Aviation Australia. He has previously been a member of the International Advisory Board of the Singapore Association of Aviation Focused Enterprises, the Queensland Government's Aviation Reference Group and President of the Australasian University Aviation Association. He is currently a member of the Education and Research Committee and The Council of Associates of the International Air Cargo Association. Dr. Bates is the Head of Aviation at the University of Southern Queensland and Chairs the outreach committee of ICAO's Next Generation of Aviation Professionals Task Force.
