P. G. S. Amila Jayarathne

P. G. S. Jayarathne is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing attached to the School of Leadership, Management and Marketing, De Montfort University (DMU), Leicester, the UK, Prior to this position she worked as a Professor in Marketing attached to the Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), Sri Lanka. She obtained her Batcher’s degree from the USJ, and Masters in Policy Studies from Japan and MSc in Management from USJ. She obtained her PhD at the Nottingham University Business School in UK. She was an ADB scholar, a Commonwealth scholar, and a Fellowship receiver. She has more than 50 publications in several international conferences, scholarly books, and in high-ranked indexed journals, she has been awarded several times for her outstanding research performance locally and internationally. She was the former Editor-in-Chief in the Vidyodaya Journal of Management, the founding Editor-in-Chief, the Asian Journal of Marketing Management, the Associate Editor of SLIIT Business Review, and a senior editor in the South Asian Journal of Marketing Management (an Emerald Journal). She has engaged in several industrial based research projects individually and in collaboration with scholars in Sri Lanka, India, UK, Swidden, China and Australia, during her career in the higher education sector.
