Omkar Singh

Omkar Singh , born on September 1, 1995, into a farming family in Uttar Pradesh, India, has emerged as a dedicated researcher and scholar in the field of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. He earned his Ph.D. from S.V.P. University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, following an M.Sc. in Agriculture from N.D. University of Agriculture and Technology. Growing up in a farming environment, Omkar possesses a profound understanding of the challenges faced by the farming communities in the eastern Indo-Gangetic plains. His research focus includes the impact of climate change on agriculture, particularly in the context of sustainable and resilient cropping systems. As a Senior Research Fellow at SVPUA&T, Meerut, he actively engages in field experiments, soil, and plant sample analyses, and data interpretation. Omkar has published extensively, contributing to reputable journals with articles on topics ranging from the effects of nanoparticles on rice growth to sustainable soil management practices for climate resilience. He has also been a part of various national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs.
