Ogechi Okanya Cookey

Ogechi Okanya Cookey holds a PhD in Communication Studies and has great interest in corporate communication, environmental/climate communication and research. She teaches in the Department of Mass Communication, Edwin Clark University, Nigeria. She is an environmental and climate justice advocate, undertaking research activities in the area of climate change. She champions for research-based policy making, as well as community-centred, applied and action research as reliable ways of unravelling and tackling the polycrisis confronting human society.Her interest is also in the Niger Delta and other regions in Africa that are suffering environmental degradation, conflict and security threats.
