Nithya Ramachandran

Nithya RamachandranNithya Ramachandran is a Senior Lecturer of Accounting and Finance Section, Department of Business Studies, College of Economics and Business Administration and Coordinator, Research and Consultancy Department at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Ibra, Sultanate of Oman. Her research interest includes corporate governance, sustainability accounting, entrepreneurship, working capital management and quality assurance. Nithya has published several papers in reputed journals and has written a blog post on operating in a different cultural environment. She has shared her expertise as keynote speaker, conference chair and session chair in various international conferences. She is associated with International Journal of Business Intelligence Research as an Ad Hoc reviewer. She has been a member of the organising committee of INNOVATIA (a signature event of BS – UTAS –Ibra) in which she has conducted an event named Research Mind for 3 consecutive years. Nithya is a versatile teacher with 20+ years’ experience in teaching courses and guiding student projects for university programs. The courses taught includes financial, cost, corporate and management accounting, financial management, audit and assurance and financial analysis and control. She is experienced in both face-to-face and online delivery modes. She has always received excellent feedback from students. Nithya is active in contributing to the department and the university, earlier (2013-2020) she was an academic representative of quality assurance department and now, coordinator of university research and consultancy department. She has been coordinating the conduct of online exams in the department during COVID19 and focal point for diploma level courses. She is a team player and has always stepped-up to support the department in times of need. Nithya has an open-door policy and regularly supports colleagues seeking guidance on matters relating to teaching, research, and quality assurance documentation.
